Praise to the God of All Comfort
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. (2 Corinthians 1:3)
I’m here, and all of us Christians are here so that we can use our experiences and testimonies to give others hope and inspiration in their times of need. We are to be a light to others that they may find the comfort of our heavenly father as we have!!! So don’t hold back! When others need help, tell them how you CAN help!!!! It may seem overwhelming sometimes, or difficult in your circumstance, but if you do not tell them, there may never be anyone who will! That sheep could be forever lost because God gave you an opportunity that wasn’t taken.
When we are put in front of our heavenly father, we will have to account for our lives and the way we responded when God gave us an opportunity. Do you want to be the one who never acted in his name out of fear? The fear of what MIGHT happen? The worst that could happen would be for them to get extremely upset and tell you to shut up. In that case you planted a seed. The best that could happen, they go home and find the peace of God because you heard that cry and you answered it. You were sent here as Christians to deliver the word to others that they may find our wonderful father. We are not to hold back, not one bit. Let your heart on your sleeve, put it all out there. We are not to be like the world, we are to be hope and light to the world!
Salt and Light
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Go out and shine that light my brothers and sisters. Comfort those who need comforting, and show them the only comfort that will heal, so that they may find their way to him!
