Check it to the word!

There is a whole world of controversy surrounding Christianity and faith. One thing that is rarely ever discussed is the controversy WITHIN the church! There is deception in our midst even as we speak and most of us are completely blind to it.

I will call out “religion” now, because I have been through the mill with quite a few of them. I have attended Mass in the catholic church and have seen the statues of Mary and the rituals that are performed for “salvation”. I have spent time as a member of a Mormon church and heard the “gospels” of Joseph smith. I grew up with a father who once belonged to the Jehovah witness congregation and then married a man who also belonged once to them. I have sat in a synagogue and sang praises in Hebrew.

I may get a lot of people riled up at me for this, but none of these are the way to our heavenly father. NO ONE CAN GET TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH THE SON. There is deception in all of these “religions”. I can prove it with one simple fact that all christians alike cannot, and should not ignore. It goes against the word of God!

In order to be saved we must repent to God our sins ( yes, to God, and God alone). We must claim his promise that he will save our souls if we accept Jesus Christ as our savior, as the son of God who came to earth to preach the gospels and died on a cross for our sins so that we may enter the kingdom of heaven as his elect. There are no limits on who can accept this promise. God will not tell us that we cannot claim this promise. I know for a fact that several of the above mentioned “religions” do.

I’ve spent a long time studying scripture and praying for answers and understanding in his word, and over that time, I have discovered that things I was once taught by the many churches and services I have attended are no more than a complete disregard for what scripture really tells us.

I look back and i remember the times I had attended the catholic mass with my friend at the time. We would go, and say prayers in unison. We would read a very small amount of scripture and then get into the religious literature passed around. Then there was communion. Now I was raised in a free Methodist church where things were  done completely different. I had taken communion as a child without even understanding its real meaning. I saw that the way adults were taking communion, that it remained the same with them. They had no real understanding. I was told by the family I was with that I had to sit out of communion because I was not a “member of the church”. This came as quite a shock to me. I thought about this verse in the bible and wondered how many “Sunday Christians” had come to church to “confess” to a priest or deacon so that they could just feel a little better about the sins they knew they would continue to commit the following week.

1 Corinthians Chapter 11

24 And when he had given thanks, he brake [it], and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

25 After the same manner also [he took] the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink [it], in remembrance of me.

26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.

27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink [this] cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

Later on I had learned more about Jehovah’s witnesses and I still don’t know, or understand everything there is to know about life in that particular congregation, but what I DO know, is that there has been more corruption and lies than most other “christian” religions.

I found this on wikipedia and it goes well in accordance with everything I have learned from my family.

Doctrines of Jehovah’s Witnesses are established by their Governing Body. Until late 2012, the Governing Body described itself as the representative[13][14] and “spokesman” for God’s “faithful and discreet slave class”[14][15][16][17] (the approximately 10,000“anointed” Jehovah’s Witnesses), which Witnesses were taught Christ used as a channel for God’s progressive revelations and to direct Christians on biblical matters.[18][19][20] The Governing Body seeks neither advice nor approval from any “anointed” Witnesses other than high-ranking members at the Brooklyn headquarters.[15][21][22] At the 2012 Annual Meeting of the Watch Tower Society, the “faithful and discreet slave” was defined as referring to the Governing Body only.[23]

Jehovah’s Witnesses are instructed to welcome changes to their religion’s doctrine, regarding such “adjustments” as “new light” or “new understanding” from God.[24][25] The view is based on their interpretation of Proverbs 4:18, which they believe refers to a continuous progressive advancement in doctrinal knowledge and scriptural understanding for “righteous ones”,[26][27] with the holy spirit helping “responsible representatives of ‘the faithful and discreet slave’ at world headquarters to discern deep truths that were not previously understood”.[28] Watch Tower literature has suggested such enlightenment results from the application of reason and study,[29] the guidance of holy spirit, and direction from Jesus Christ and angels,[30]however, the Governing Body also disclaims infallibility and divine inspiration.[31][32][33] The religion makes no provision for members to criticize or contribute to official teachings[34] and all Witnesses are expected to abide by the doctrines and organizational requirements as determined by the Governing Body.[35] Watch Tower Society publications strongly discourage Witnesses from formulating doctrines and “private ideas” reached through independent Bible research.[36][37][38][39]Members who promote privately developed teachings contrary to those of the Governing Body may be expelled and shunned.[36][40][41]

Does that sound like God? No. If they change their literature based on God, that is easily disproved by the following: THE WORD OF GOD!!! CHECK IT TO THE WORD.

Numbers 23:19-20

God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? Behold, I received a command to bless: he has blessed, and I cannot revoke it.

That went well, so that brings us to another group: Mormons. While I was going through the rounds in that congregation, I was brought in and given 3 books. The bible, a translator, and the book of Joseph smith. Now, this one is rather obvious. Mormons were attempting to teach me to follow the gospels of Joseph smith. Saying I cannot be saved or truly inherit Gods blessings unless I knew and believed these gospels. Again, CHECK IT TO THE WORD!!!

John 14:6

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Finally, the Jewish faith! Now here’s one I wanted to get behind!!!! The Jews were Gods chosen people. They were given a law and a requirement of works so that they may inherit Gods love and favor. At one time, this was all true, but then in came Jesus!!!!

Here is a few good scriptures for that one:

(king James)

John 3:3 – Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 3:8 – Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

Ephesians 2:8-9 – For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

Do you see it now? We are not saved by keeping the law or by our own works, we are saved by GOD through JESUS CHRIST!!!! Many of the Jewish faith do not believe in Jesus and his coming. They knew it was coming based on the prophecy of Isaiah, but they did not see it or choose to believe it. That is when they are lost. We have done NOTHING deserving of Gods wonderful grace. We are not to boast, we are not to seek praise for our doings, because it is not by us that we are Gods people, it is by Jesus Christ and faith in him and his death and resurrection that we will live on.

In the translation of NIV:

Ephesians 2:8-9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

If you want to argue with scripture, it is your soul on the line, but if you heed my words, i urge you to constantly check the word of God, or as the bible says:

1 Thessalonians 5:21

21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good;

I urge you to ask God for wisdom, discernment, and understanding when you read the bible or hear anything from anyone pertaining your salvation. Understand that Jesus is the only way to heaven and that if you cannot understand that the law of God is above the law of man, then you may live (or die) to regret that little misconception. No literature is better, or above Gods words. God wants you to read them, and understand them. That is his way of speaking to you plainly, as not all people have opened their hearts to him. Jesus is the way, truth, and life, and to deny him, is to deny God. To deny God is to deny eternal life. So on this subject, I urge you to look for the answers. Don’t even listen to me if you cannot check it to the word of God and find truth in what I am saying! I tell you these things because I love you. All of you. Even if I don’t know you, or understand you or your situation. I don’t need to, to know that I love you, and that I am praying for you.

Galatians 1

1 Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— 2 and all the brothers and sisters[a] with me,

To the churches in Galatia:

3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5 to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

No Other Gospel

6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!

10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

I would like to also add, that out of every church can come people of true faith. I know, for instance, many Catholics who are pure in faith and love Jesus with their hearts and souls. It is possible. Believing doctrine other than the word is a different story.

I dedicate this post to my beautiful, loving sister, who is hard at work to expose the lies and deception in the body of Christ! I pray for you every day and I feel that you will go far in this life as long as God is front and center ❤

  1. The rightly divided Word of God needs to be Our authority. When we choose to make anything else the authority we are attempting to replace God with something else and that is idolatry. Our heavenly Father reserves the position as Creator and Supreme Being to Himself. His plan of Salvation that was made flesh and fulfilled by His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, is his second in Command with everything being placed under his feet save the one who places it under his feet, i.e. God. I Co 15:27. The two primary mistakes of the J Witnesses, 1) they think The second coming process of the return of Christ has already started and 2) they teach that choosing or living a spiritual life is hard. While we have been in the last days ever since Jesus ascended and every generation of Church leadership has as they should, expected Christ to return in their lifetimes, as long as there are born again Christians on the face of the Earth that generation has not passed and the first has not happened and as to the second, God made it easy only the tendency of man to make things more complicated than they are leads some to that conclusion. Salvation is by grace. We must accept it. When we accept it God enables us. As enabled powerful believers we daily choose what we do with God’s gift to us. God’s grace, mercy and love preserves us. It is not hard to return God’s love as long as we choose to be aware of it. It is not hard to be filled with thanksgiving when we note what our faith brings to us. Things happen in our lives. Some we see as blessings others we recognize as not being a blessing to us. The question arises to what being do we ascribe the non blessing events. If we blame God for things that are not loving then our relationship could become strained and difficult. The lesson not learned from scripture is that God is not the source of things that steal, kill and destroy our more than abundant lives. Jn 10:10. When we seek to give gifts of healings but the person to whom we try to give it does not accept it, it is not God’s fault. By our limited five senses, we may not be able to figure out why things turn out the way they do but laying the blame at God’s feet would be entertaining the concept that God’s word is not the truth. Kudos to this blog article. It is that God makes it so easy that there are true believers that come from groups whose written doctrines do not line up completely with the Word, the quality of your personal relationship with God is not dependent on what group you choose to hear about the Word from, but upon how much of the Word you embrace after you hear it set forth. Take what you hear to the Word is very sage advice. The needed corrections to the text are not all that numerous, even if it takes a better understanding of the whole to see what may be an error to a part. Details matter and truth does not change or become shades of grey. Sometimes an apparent contradiction in the Word is only a single word away from being cleared up but if you get to the rightly divided Word it can be made evident that it is only in your perception that the Word disagrees with itself. Selah.

    • Right on brother! However, the JW were right about one thing…. the second coming is near. Although no man, and not even the son of God knows the day nor hour, we are told to look for signs so that we will not be deceived. We are very very close. We need a revival in the church. A huge revival.

      Here ya go 🙂

The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times

24 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”

3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

15 “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’[a] spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.

22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.

26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

29 “Immediately after the distress of those days

      “‘the sun will be darkened,
      and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[b]
30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth[c] will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.[d] 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it[e] is near, right at the door. 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

      The Day and Hour Unknown

36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

  3. I did not say any thing about the possibility that it could be today or tomorrow only that it has not been in the past. Last time I checked it is watch tower doctrine that Christ second coming started to transpire at the beginning of the twentieth Century. They maintain that the rapid change of all believers as recorded in I Co 15:52 is not that rapid after all but has been in progress since then as if God does not know his wheat from the chaff and must take all this time to make sure he is correct. For those that are asleep in Christ this decision on whether they are to be in the gathering together is a done deal for they can do nothing to change their life story from the grave. The proving time of your heartfelt decision to accept or reject Jesus is in your mortal lives. That is the rub that they seem to not want to accept that God looks at our hearts and knows what we believe at the heart level. If we are involved in circumstances that look unworthy, his knowledge of our hearts can go above that. We do not earn our way to heaven by our good works, we are saved by grace. He has shown us mercy and we are the people of His affection and love. We are to return that love and share that love with one another and Him and our Lord. This means we are not to use the occasion of our Salvation as an excuse to ignore his guidance rather we stand fast in the liberty to which we have been called. The gospel (good news) is that this is available to anyone not having sinned the sin of death, selling out to the adversary as Lord instead of Jesus, turning 100 % away from God’s plan of salvation to the devil’s. Thinking not that stealing, killing and destroying is wrong but that rather it is a good idea the more the merrier and the more of a martyr’s reward you might gain by being Satan’s tool.
We are to be wise and ready for the return of Christ any day, but to claim we know when it will be (or was) exactly is against the Word for the Word declares only our heavenly Father knows the day and hour of Jesus being sent back to gather us up and in I Co 13 that when we are gathered up (when we see him face to face) that tongues and the knowledge of God’s plan of salvation goes with us for no one who is to be a part of that great day will be missed. Then the also ran second best selection of being considered God’s chosen will be reestablished and God will be Jehovah the all powerful and merciful but exacting of legalistic obedience to the death, because without the Christians to stand in the gap with their power of holy spirit, the antichrist will reward anyone professing the goodness of God with death and destruction. We have the privilege of living for God and not the necessity to die for Him. We live in the best of times and the tribulation saints perhaps the worst of times, but I for one am grateful that my time on earth is during the age of grace. Living without love would be at best existence. We live , we love, we learn, we stand.
