Why should we trust God?

There have been times in my life that “trusting” just wasn’t an option at all. There have also been times, preceding the lack of trust, where I trusted in everything and wore my heart on my sleeve.

Well when life happens and you get burned, that trust disappears and you are left with a plethora of painful disappointments and bad memories along with the good. Despite the good, it is often the bad experiences that stick with us the most, and naturally, as we don’t want to endure them again. So whether it be men, women, parents, friends, or our idea of “God” we get disappointed, and we ‘learn’ from that moment or moments of pain.

So if that is what we do, then why should we put our trust in a ‘God’ who allows us to be burned time and time again? I can go on for days about the times I have been cut down, burned, and disappointed. I’ve been abused, neglected, and even hated for no reason whatsoever. So why should I trust in a ‘lord’ that allowed these things to happen to me even as a little innocent child?

Well let me begin with this: Our parents, well most of them, raise us and then we fly the coop at whatever age is deemed appropriate. We will do things that our parents could have stopped, or things happen to us that they could have prevented,, but then what would we be today if they had intervened?

lets look at todays children shall we? I dont know about you, but there are so many children who are OUT of control, child bullying is a HUGE problem, and there seems to be a general lack of conscience in and around our schools. preteens are having sex, groups of teenagers are raping children, I know I’m not the only one who has seen the news lately. This is what happens when you are raised without an idea of consequences. We were made to learn from experience.

So basically, if you are wondering why you had to endure what you did, It was to become the person you are today, and hopefully, you are not a bully, a rapist, or a murderer. You had to learn from your mistakes and get to the end of your rope so that we cry out to God. We can trust him, and he WANTS us to ask for his help, to give it all to him because we just cant do it alone!!!! So basically, God gave us free will, life happens, and it is all in how we deal with it that makes the difference.

Matthew 11:28-30

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Psalm 55:22

Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

Galatians 6:2

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Now as to why children are beaten, abused, and hurt…. the answer to that is simple. More and more people are going against God. God is a horrible word in this country if its not being used as a swear word. We’ve pulled him out of our songs, out of our laws, out of our schools, and our conversation even. You cannot say anything about God without OFFENDING someone!!! So WHY?! WHY should God intervene in a world this depraved? God knows what these children have for them, and if they die before their time? They will be in Gods hands, watching over the world. They didn’t get the chance to deny God as their parents and country have. God will help those who call out for him to take over their lives, not for people who call out for a ‘God’ that may exist and if he does, ‘Ill owe you a favor’.

Moving on to my final point: TRUST IN THE LORD

WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART

ALL OF YOUR SOUL

ALL OF YOUR MIND

GIVE YOUR LIFE TO HIM

LAY IT WILLFULLY INTO HIS HANDS

TRUST IN CHRIST JESUS AND HIS SACRIFICE

You will be saved, and you will feel a peace unlike any other feeling ever experienced.

God will show you the way, and though you may get burned again, you will never be the same. Your burden will be light, and God will have the best possible outcome for every single situation. Don’t lose hope, don’t lose faith, he will provide for you, and in the end, you WILL be happy. Don’t doubt my words, because you cannot see the future. Neither can I but GOD can, and I promise you, that he has the best in mind for his children. Allow yourself to be put in his arms and do not let GO.

I trust the one and only true word, that of our God. In Jesus name, amen.
